Junior Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary 25K - 35K DOE

I'm searching for a Junior Mechanical Design Engineer to join an innovative and global company. You will work in a friendly and constructive environment leaving room for new possibilities and ideas. Your challenge

* In the team, you will develop electo-mechanical products. From the first concept to the start of series production. This will be done in close cooperation with electrical development, specialist departments such as EMI, magnetics design, layout design and purchasing. The designed parts and assemblies taking into account thermal, electrical safety creepage and clearance distances, tolerances, design, technical feasibility and automated manufacturability.

* The preparation, inspection and release of the required design documents (detailed drawings, assembly drawings, parts lists) is part of your tasks as well as the production-ready implementation of the design in close cooperation with production sites.

* The presentation and coordination of mechanical concepts and manufacturing concepts with the customer and production sites is also part of the tasks.

Your Profile

* You have completed a degree in mechanical engineering (Master's degree or comparable)

* Ideally you have at least two years' experience

* You are familiar with CAD systems (preferably Creo, Pro/Intralink) and with SAP is a plus

* The willingness to international travelling is mandatory

* Strong ability in product conceptualisation, modelling and design

* knowledge of machining, sheet metal, casting, extrusion and plastic moulding manufacturing processes and materials

* knowledge of manufacturing tolerances and optimal design considerations

* Knowledge and experience of product design and qualification cycle
