Salary: £300-£350 per week

Whoever you are, whatever your background, our Summer Diversity Internship Programme (SDIP) could change your life. Our award-winning programme gives talented undergraduates from diverse backgrounds the opportunity to see what a career in the Civil Service is like.

Your work placement in a government department offers a great insight into the broad range of opportunities across the Civil Service. It’s also a brilliant way to prepare for a place on one of our Fast Stream graduate programmes, which could lead to many different career paths at the heart of the UK government.

You’ll have full support, including an allocated Fast Stream buddy and a scheme manager to guide you. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to gain a ‘Fast Pass’. This could enable you to be fast-tracked to the final stage of Fast Stream selection.

For this programme applications are invited from people who are from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background, people with a disability and those from a lower socio economic background. You also need to be in your final two years at University.
