An experienced professional is required to fill the post of the Business Intelligence Developer within Health Education England (HEE) Midlands and East Business Intelligence (BI) team. The team has three office locations in Birmingham, Cambridge or Leicester and the post holder can be based in whichever location is most suitable to their needs.

HEE support the delivery of excellent healthcare and health improvement to the patients and public of England by ensuring that the workforce of today and tomorrow has the right numbers, skills, values and behaviours, at the right time and in the right place.

The Business Intelligence (BI) Team are responsible for the collation, analysis and reporting of workforce intelligence to support this delivery.

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to work within the BI data team, developing data systems using advanced T-SQL and SSIS to manage data flows, store data appropriately and ensure the data is quality assured, auditable and ready for reporting. Knowledge of Azure, SSRS, SSAS and Tableau server would also be advantageous, as well as techniques in pseudonymising data.

The outputs of the BI data team are consumed in workforce data modelling and data transformation products for trainees, trusts, trainers, educators, local and national HEE colleagues, and external NHS partners.

We are building a new data platform in the Microsoft Azure cloud and you will be proactive is using new technologies to create improved reporting solutions.

In addition to your technical skills, you should be able to translate complex information into actionable insight by working with performance and workforce colleagues, helping senior management track performance, monitor delivery, and plan for the future.
