Technical Architect (Java or C#)

Bristol (BS1)

£70,000 - £90,000 + flexi-time, annual salary reviews, up to 15% matched pension

A renowned, UK-based software house are looking to bring an experienced Software Technical Architect on board. They work with a prestigious portfolio of clients producing complex enterprise-scale applications for financial services companies in the South West of England.

It's a really exciting time to join the business; they're currently growing all of their tech teams across the UK as their client base expands. As the business grows they're able to move into new markets and the options for progression both as a technologist and within your career are limitless!

About you…

* You have at least 12 years' experience in software development

* A relevant university degree

* You're currently an Applications/Solutions/Technical Architect, or perhaps Lead Developer, and are actively contributing to or designing the architecture for an enterprise-scale application written primarily in C# or Java

* You possess a deep knowledge of object-oriented languages related technologies

* Bonus points if you've worked with big data tech like Hadoop, NoSQLetc

* Microservices architecture doesn't intimidate you as you've been working in this environment for a number of years

* Experience with Agile practices Scrum and Kanban and comfortable choosing a methodology based on project requirements

* You must have the experience and confidence to manage client relationships and advise on technology choices

* There will be an element of travel involved as, though office based, a lot of projects will have you visiting clients on-site

* You understand a service-oriented architecture (SOA)
