Excellent role on offer for an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer looking to join a niche special purpose machinery manufacturer where you will be working on state of the art machinery for high profile customers and have the chance to progress to become the Chief Engineer within the next few years.

This SME is regarded as an industry leader in the manufacture of bespoke special purpose machinery used within a range of sectors such as Automotive, Medical and the Defence sectors. They are in the process of developing new machinery for their loyal client base. With long terms plans in place they are looking to ensure that the organisation is prepared for considerable growth and increased profitability through appointing an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.

In this role you will be required to run projects from start to finish; from the conceptual design, prototype build, oversee manufacturing and delivery. They are looking to succession plan with a view to progressing the right individual to become the next Chief Engineer.

Therefore this role would ideally suit an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer that is looking to work for the industry leaders on technically interesting machinery that will include robotic and conveyor systems.

The Role:

* Mechanical Design of specialist special purpose machinery

* Design from concept to completion

* Using SolidWorks (Training can be given)

* Liaising with clients and suppliers

* Managing Projects from start to finish

* £38,000 - £42,000 + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Progression Opportunities

The Candidate:

* Mechanical Design Engineer

* Experience of designing specialist machinery / equipment
