Deputy Director, Technology & Digital Services

Location: London or Glasgow

Salar: £90k

Technology and data are playing an increasingly important role in Ofgem as we evolve alongside the changing energy sector. You will lead the design and implementation of an integrated information and digital architecture, driving greater use of technology in all areas of our regulatory work.

Working consultatively across the business, you will explore ways to enable technology-led decision making, to deliver effective, enterprise-class information management and to drive enhanced IT capability and collaborative working in every business function. A champion of user research and metric-driven continuous improvement, you will visualise, define and enable smarter, more flexible and more innovative working practices throughout the organisation.

A proven track record in leading digital service design to enable transformative change in technology use is essential. You must have a sound understanding of the public sector and regulatory IT requirements, with the capability to formulate strategy, negotiate with vendors and drive forward project delivery. An inspiring leader and successful change manager, you will have in-depth knowledge of how to align technology strategy to broader business goals and deliver change in a high-profile, challenging and complex environment.
