Event Manager - Marketing - Project Management - Relationship Manager - Event Delivery and Logistics - Cost Management - Reporting - Ability to Travel / Stay Away from Home - Work from home

My client a leading Technology and Solutions provider to the Education Industry are seeking an Events Manager to join their marketing team in Abingdon to successfully shape and deliver a portfolio of marketing events across the UK.

The role will involve extensive travel therefore attendance in Abingdon is only required once a week and working from home is an option.

The successful candidate will have previous experience of shaping, scoping and managing events thought to completion and be adept at building excellent working relationships.

Core Duties will include:

* Developing and managing a comprehensive delivery plan to ensure objectives are met in terms of key metrics such as delegate numbers, sponsorship, delegate engagement, marketing qualified leads and ROI.

* Responsibility for all arrangements for the events from inception through to completion

* Managing the workflow of event support staff who will arrange all travel and accommodation requirements for team, staff and exhibitors.

* Sourcing speakers (internal and external)

* Liaising with colleagues in other departments in order to obtain relevant content.

* Ensuring robust processes are in place to capture and track leads and orders converted from events.

* Supervision of events logistic and technical staff and agency

Please note, an essential part of this role is travel and nights away from home during the 3 week period of the events as you will be attending all the events, from set up through to pack down, interacting with delegates, and ensuring that my client represented to a very high standard throughout.
