Spring Technology is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading clients.

Based in Birmingham, our client is looking for an Information Security Analyst on a Permanent Basis.

Skills & Attributes Required

*Meaningful practical experience in an Information Security operations or related role

*Working knowledge of IT networking fundamentals.

*Up to date knowledge of security issues and techniques across multiple computer platforms.

*Knowledge of various technologies and operating systems and their related security aspects and risks, i.e. MS Windows Server and desktop, Active Directory, Office 365, Salesforce, etc).

*Experience with using SIEM tools (e.g. QRadar, AlienVault or similar)

*Experience with using ForcePoint Web and DLP functionality or similar

*Use of Vulnerability Management tools (e.g. Nessus, Qualys, Rapid7 or similar)

*Experience using e-mail filtering products including Mimecast, Forcepoint or similar.

*Experience of delivering common security tools and practices in a commercial environment with internal support and third parties.

*Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

*Effective and proactive communicator with good writing skills and the ability to present confidently to staff and management at all levels.

*Resilience and the ability and willingness to adopt a flexible approach to address specific and changing demands in collaboration with others to achieve team results.

*Analytical, evaluative, innovative and enquiring approach and the ability to work autonomously and take initiative where required.

*Ability to diagnose and resolve issues, using sound judgement in prioritising and/or escalating appropriately.

*Self-motivated and willing to learn and develop.

Desirable

*Knowledge and use of Intrusion Detection/Prevention Tools (Cisco/Sourcefire), Web Application Firewalls, Privileged Access Management and other key security functions.

*Knowledge of Security Frameworks; Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, NIST, CIS.

*Acumen to assist with forensic security investigations.
