Qualifications:

* BA/BS degree in computer science or IT related field

* Certification in Microsoft BI Stack is advantageous

Skills & Experience:

* Must be able to demonstrate experience with Business Intelligence.

* Must be able to demonstrate experience with database design or integration experience with SQL Server databases

* Experience with Relational Database and SQL Language

* Proficient with Data Warehouse/ Solution Design

* Previous exposure to Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) (Microsoft SSIS)

* Experience with Dimensional Modelling (Kimball Methodology)

* Experience of Analytics / Tabular Development (Microsoft SSAS and DAX)

* Proficient and confident with Report Development (Microsoft SSRS and Microsoft PowerBI)

* Exposure to other technologies is advantageous for the role (QlikView, Microsoft AX, Microsoft CRM)

* Knowledge of project management methodologies and best practices

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job responsibilities:

* The role involves data gathering, through extensive research and analytical abilities.

* To develop insightful conclusions, that generate solutions to address user needs.

* Translating business needs to technical specifications.

* Create and summarise findings and support recommendations, through written communications.

* Create quality assurance and user acceptance through testing by writing plans (Unit and UAT).

* Utilise BI solutions to build and deploy (e.g. reporting tools (SSAS, SSRS), Data Warehouse (SSIS)).

* To support data analytics platforms through continuous maintenance (e.g. PowerBI).

* Develop models to store data (e.g. Tabular Models).

* Conduct User Acceptance Testing and troubleshooting.

* Use evaluation skills to improve existing BI systems.

* Collaborate with others to integrate systems through team work.

* Establish database queries to conduct analyses.

* Create reports with visualisation aids.
