Our client works with some of the World’s biggest brands, providing them with bespoke embedded software, hardware and set top box solutions of all shapes and sizes.

As IT Support & Systems Administrator, the core of your day will be dealing with ticketing queries from a varied global user base. It’s a hands-on role and you’ll need to think on your feet, be proactive and prioritise your workload as you go. You’ll be the team’s subject matter expert in Linux, so you’ll need to have dealt with 1st, 2nd and 3rd line queries in a busy, Linux based, work environment. You’ll also need to have existing experience with Linux Server Installation, administration and support.

Aside from the day-to-day ticketing workflow, you’ll also get chance to work on some big, exciting IT projects; seeing your ideas roll out into the business and playing an active part in Red’s evolution as a leading provider of technology-driven consultancy services.

What You’ll Need To Bring:

Extensive knowledge of Linux Server, preferably (Ubuntu, CentOS) installation, administration and support

Experience in a similar role would be ideal (e.g. Linux-focused 1st or 2nd or 3rd line IT Support role)

Exposure to Windows based environments would be an advantage

Experience in open source technologies

Good knowledge of server virtualisation and storage systems

First class communication skills and the ability to prioritise effectively

Passion, initiative and a "hands on" approach to solving IT issues
