Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council is a Council with a renewed sense of direction. The Borough is embarking upon an unprecedented level of regeneration and is seeking to deliver real and substantial improvements to the quality of life of its residents.

The Asset Management Service is at the forefront of this new direction and is also tasked with ensuring that each and every one of the Council’s assets are utilised in the most effective and efficient way possible.

To enable this we have been successful in securing One Public Estate (OPE) funding to facilitate a review of storage and archiving provision in Rotherham, in Barnsley and across the Sheffield City Region.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and forward thinking OPE Project Officer, willing to take a lead on the review and transformation of storage and archiving in the region and to work with us to deliver One Public Estate projects which really make a difference.

The post is fixed term for a period of two years from appointment.

We offer a great work life balance including flexible working as well as the option to work alongside a team willing challenge the norm to deliver a better outcome.

In order to support the Council’s requirement to save a further £41 million from its budget, by collective agreement, from 1st April 2017 to 31st March 2020 there is a temporary 1.15% pay reduction from the advertised substantive salary quoted, which will be spread out by means of a weekly/monthly deduction (dependent on pay frequency) from each pay period over the full financial year. In recognition of implementing this temporary measure three additional day’s leave (pro rata for part time workers and new starters in year) will be granted.

This post will have access to the Public Services Network, if successful you will be required to apply for a disclosure of criminal records check at the Basic level (unspent criminal convictions).

Closing date: 17 September 2018
