Our client is an innovative medical solutions provider that works hand-in-hand with the NHS to deliver solutions and responses to patient-related issues. Having developed a strong service offering, they have also created a range of products to provide comfort and relief to healthcare patients.

Now, they are looking for a number of Electrical / Mechanical Service Technicians to join their teams at hospitals across London on an ad hoc temporary contacting basis.

Our client is seeking to build a ‘bank’ of temporary, contract staff who can provide cover, stand in or help them scale up their teams during times of additional staffing needs. It’s a highly flexible position working at any of the major hospitals across London, providing critical maintenance services to our client’s product range.

Contracts will range from a few days to a few weeks, but once taken on, you will be provided with regular contracts at various location across London. It will be down to your discretion to take them on as you are available.

The Role

As an Electrical / Mechanical Service Technician, once trained, you’ll maintain, repair, modify and support the delivery of our client’s medical products to hospitals throughout London.

Carrying out tasks in-line with quality processes, you’ll clean, test and repair products, ensuring they are ready for patients to use.

You’ll install products at customer sites, communicate with customers in a friendly, professional manner and deliver basic product training when required.

Additionally, you’ll complete and record electrical safety testing, keep an inventory of products and spare parts and take good care of your company vehicle and tools.

As part of your role, you’ll be required to take part in a 24/7 on-call rota.

About You

To be considered as an Electrical / Mechanical Service Technician, you’ll need:

- Electrical and/or mechanical knowledge

- A full, valid driving licence

- A strong customer focus

- Good communication skills

Experience within a hospital or caregiving environment would be beneficial, as would an electrical safety testing qualification.
