My Central Edinburgh based client are currently recruiting for a Director of Engineering to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the company at an exciting period of growth. You will be responsible for assisting in the growth and development of the Engineering team as well as leading and driving software excellence within the brand.

Key responsibilities for this role will include:

* Managing the development function and driving high standards

* Managing resource alignment for development projects

* Collaborating with Product Owners and Managers to define the direction of the product

* Planning for usage of future technologies

* Managing risk for development projects

* Acting as a point of escalation for software issues

Relevant experience for this role include:

* Experience of managing development and technical teams

* Experience in programming using C# or Java

* any experience working with cloud solutions

* Agile experience

* Strong experience of managing technical and non technical stakeholders
