SENIOR IT INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT MANAGER

Our client a multinational IT and Professional services organization is seeking an experienced Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager to join their team and support their end client a Global Financial Services Organisation based in Dublin City Centre

Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager KEY Responsibilities:

* Manage a portfolio of about 6 to 10 infrastructure/security orientated projects of which 1 or 2 projects are large (meaning 300kEUR to 500kEUR of revenue) and the balance are small projects (ranging from 50kEUR to 150kEUR of revenue)

* Shaping up the projects with an element of identifying revenue opportunities / upselling

* Writing and negotiating the project change orders, aka commercial proposals

* Managing the projects up to closure and hand over to the business-as-usual/support teams

* Interfacing with leveraged capabilities teams to get the work done (Wintel, DBA, Network, Security, Unix)

* Working closely with the end client project managers

* Establishing the bills of material working with or clients account CTO, the vendors if applicable and overseeing procurement (e.g. physical server purchases)

* Project reporting (project on page, project management review meeting, …)

* Managing each project finances/P&L

Senior Senior IT Infrastructure Project Manager Requirements:

* Proven experience in project management or in similar role or business

* 7-10+ Years' Experience as an IT Project Manager

* Holds current Professional Project Management Certification

* Knowledge of Financial Services and the Banking industry preferred.

* Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert

* Listening, oral, written and presentation skills and effective interpersonal skills.

* Organizational and planning and multi-tasking skills.

* Ability to manage the scope and timelines for dependent cross-functional teams

* Strong leadership, interpersonal, relationship-building and negotiation skills required with a solid track record for developing internal and external relationships.

* Demonstrate ethics and values to generate high team trust

* Advanced knowledge and demonstrated expertise in the areas of strategy, planning and project management required processes and techniques.

* Can do attitude

* Able to cope with pressure, peaks of workload, and tricky commercial negotiations (Cf. project pricing and management of change order if the scope evolves)

* Able to work out of business hours from time to time (e.g. to oversee a project cut over during a weekend)

* Able to interface and engage effectively at senior management level and at technical level, good communication skills, good command of English

* IT infrastructure / ITO DC services, including server management, backup, DR, DC LAN, firewalls, … etc

* IT middleware services, including SQL DB engine mgt, Oracle DB engine mgt, websphere (limited), weblogic (limited)

* IT infrastructure application (e.g. Exchange)

* IT Security (DDOS, HIPS, firewall, Cyberark, …)

* ITIL

* Familiar with both waterfall and agile project methodologies
