My market leading, global client is looking for a highly experienced Cloud Architect / Lead (AWS) to join their growing IT team at their Solihull office.

The Cloud Architect / Lead will get to work with AWS Cloud infrastructure at an early stage of adoption globally so a great opportunity for a Cloud enthusiast to implement a solution on a large scale. You will also lead 7 Engineers who are all passionate about Cloud Infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

*Leading a Cloud Team covering operational and technical input.

*Cloud Architecture using the AWS Cloud Platform and thought leadership.

*Ability to ensure a high level of automation within the platform.

*Promote a Cloud first mind-set internally and with clients to help drive cloud adoption and accelerate their journey from on premise data centres to a Cloud model.

*Work with multiple infrastructure and development teams globally.

*Ability to run internal migration projects in cloud adoption.

*Leading a 24/7 team who will be on-call/overtime.

*You will get involved in a variety of key techs such as; AWS Core Services (IAM, EBS, EFS, RDS, S3, AppStream, WorkSpaces, Beanstalk, IoT, EKS, CloudFormation, VMware, Cylance, McAfee and TrendMicro for Security and Anti-virus.

Key Skills and Experience required:

*Staff management including perform 1-2-1s and annual reviews, involvement in objective setting.

*Experience in either a cloud or infrastructure Solution Architectural role with a strong willingness to own and see the successful implementation of cloud solutions within the business

*Experience in architecting solutions using the AWS cloud platform

*Ability to inspire a high level of automation within the platform, leading by example and fostering the use of industry standard automation techniques

*Demonstrable experience, ideally to SME level, of the following: multi zone availability design, multi-tier application infrastructure and the basic infrastructure components (storage, networking, compute, DR etc.) that make these solutions available and resilient

*Excellent written and presentation skills including producing cloud solution design, standards and process documentation with the ability to mentor within the cloud team on technical and cloud design and provide 3rd level support and troubleshooting expertise
