The opportunity:

A Senior Quality Engineer is required in my client's European Centre of Innovation, located close to Galway City. My client hold a portfolio of 13,000 products. They're at the forefront of the medical device industry. Their presence in Galway extends almost 25 years and continues to be one of the most highly respected medical technology leaders in Ireland.

Your profile:

You're a quality professional with 5+ years' experience in the healthcare (medical device / pharma / diagnostics) industry, at mid-senior level in a comparable quality role. You have strong working knowledge of current regulatory standards in a medical device / ISO 13485 industry.

You might feel you're at a senior level in your current role but opportunities are limited internally. You might be doing activities that are above & beyond your call of duty, and want to work in a company that rewards this. You might be a Quality Engineer/similar and thinking of facing a new challenge in the medical device industry.

If you think the above describes you (and you have a Science/Engineering/similar Bachelors degree) then I'd like to speak with you! Previous people management experience, with direct reports, is essential.

The role:

You will be based in the operations division. You will demonstrate commitment to the quality policy through your daily execution of sound quality practices and the maintenance of an effective quality system. You will understand and comply with all the regulations governing the quality systems. You will be managing and supporting your team of direct reports (Quality Engineers, Quality Technicians, Quality Inspectors) to do the same.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

* Being leader in the areas of QSR and ISO/MDD standards

* Validation engineering

* Continuous improvement

* Deals with suppliers, other engineering disciplines

* Customer Complaints investigation

* Quality Assurance recommendations

* Problem solving techniques
