Spring Technology are recruiting on behalf of our client, who in turn is looking for a highly competent Automation Tester to work on a new 3 month project. This exciting project will involve a new internal / external-facing software for their staff and customers.

The role is to work for a reputable company based in a highly commutable location within Sutton Coldfield, and offers the chance to work on a highly important portal application, with the chance of a possible contract extension.

You will be tasked with the functional testing of the client's applications via manual means and automation; whilst also contributing towards the conditions of acceptance for User Stories.

You will also use your communication skills to collaborate with Product Owners and Analyst Programmers in order to write/ review test plans and boundary conditions; in conjunction with working with these members of staff to participate in final regression/ integration testing activities. You will work closely with other IT Professionals to ensure defects are prioritised.

This role is to be filled as soon as possible, having a very streamlined interview process.

Requirements:

*2-4 years' experience as a Quality Analyst, including experience of testing high-availability systems

*Competent skills with SQL

*Previous experience mentoring less experienced QA's

*ISTQB-BCS Certified (Foundation Level)

*Provable testing ability ideally within both desktop and web / cloud-hosted architectures

*Demonstrable experience of a range of testing tools and methodologies, including industry-recognized test automation toolsets (for example; Selenium; RobotFramework; or SOAPui)

*Excellent communication skills
