PHP Developer - Back End - MySQL/REST/SOAP

This company is looking for an experienced PHP developer to join their team of designers and online marketing specialists in Dorking, Surrey.

Your role as PHP developer will involve both backend and frontend development of a new version of their existing product. You must be able to take existing code, understand it and either repurpose it or use it to code from scratch to a new spec.

As the sole PHP developer, you will also be required to provide technical support to their teams, bug fix issues on their existing product and manage/maintain their servers.

Essential skills and experience:

- 4 or more years' experience

- You must be able to code and document to a high standard

- Object Orientated PHP version 5/7

- Strong MySQL relational-database querying skills

- Front end experience in JavaScript (jQuery), HTML and CSS

- Experience with REST/SOAP Web Service Integration

- You must have excellent communication and be able to report on issues and development progress

As the sole developer you must be able to take ownership of tasks, manage your own time and provide/deliver to deadlines

You must be proactive and want to participate in delivering exceptional products and services
