ServiceNow Developer, Government Department, Central London, 3-6+ Months Contract Opportunity
Our client requires a ServiceNow Developer to work with the Senior Service Now Consultant responsible for support, installation, maintenance and development enhancements of for ServiceNow Service Management Tool. The contract is initially for 3 months but is very likely to be a longer term piece of work.
Key Skills/Experience
* Perform day to day administration of the ServiceNow tool
* Maintain business services and configuration item relationships in ServiceNow tool
* Maintain the integrity of the ServiceNow tool across production and non-production environments
* Work with business users to identify and refine business requirements and workflows
* Identify and define business solutions for ITIL users
* Providing ServiceNow configuration and customisation assistance including, but not limited to: screen tailoring, workflow administration, report setup, data imports, LDAP integration, custom scripting and third party software integrations
* Designing, configuring and customizing new applications and modules
* Assisting in troubleshooting patch / release management issues
* Aiding in translating business requirements into technical requirements
* Implementing new functionality
* Develop UI forms, fields, notifications, workflows and javascript server/client code
* Maintain LDAP integration and user configurations
* Maintain Single Sign-On integration
* Build reports, gauges, and home pages
* Maintain service level agreement (SLA) and monitor an SLA workflow
* Create new service catalog requests and items with variables
* Create, monitor, modify, and publish service catalog workflows with approvals
* Create and use update sets to move customisation's between systems
* Search, populate, and customise the knowledge base
* Manage system access and security
* Basic understanding of ITIL v3 methodologies
* Working knowledge of relational databases
* Ability to apply existing knowledge to resolve issues on unfamiliar systems
* Able to gather and analyse information
* Able to determine service impacts and risks
* Logical and rational approach to problems
* Able to prepare and deliver management briefings
* Excellent written and oral communications skills and able to communicate at all levels, technical and non-technical
* Ability to liaise and manage 3rd party suppliers
* Able to understand and articulate complex ideas
* Knowledge of MS Active Directory
* Knowledge of working within the MS Azure environment
* Experience of ServiceNow HR
* Powershell scripting
* Integration experience with Active Directory using methods such as LDAPs.
* Single Sign-on using SAML 2.0.
* Web Services integration experience
