What it’s about

The Cambridge Maths project team is expanding! We are seeking a knowledgeable, organised and flexible individual to provide essential and reliable technical support and advice to the Cambridge Maths team for the design and content of the Cambridge Mathematics Framework and associated pieces of work.

You should be educated to at least degree level or equivalent. You will be able to support the writing team in designing digital resources, and use your previous skills and knowledge to maintain and improve the Cambridge Mathematics website. As we move into the new phase of the project you will have the opportunity to work with our Business Strategist to explore ways of reimagining the content of the Framework for different users. You will be self-motivated and flexible, with good interpersonal skills to work with the small team, a wide range of other colleagues, and the wider community. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved with an initiative that has the potential to make a positive difference to mathematics education worldwide. It will be based at Cambridge Assessment headquarters.

What you’ll be doing

Cambridge Maths team support

Support activity across the Cambridge Maths team. This will include designing digital resources (interactivities, diagrams, video, etc.), helping with social media and image research, for example.

Update and maintain content of the Cambridge Maths website.

Maintain a watching brief to ensure content on the Cambridge Mathematics public website is up-to-date and refreshed on a regular basis, undertake necessary updating.

In partnership with team, devise and maintain a yearly plan for new digital content on the site, including white papers, blogs and regular event updates. This includes editing and proofing materials as required.

Manage, including editing and proofing, the regular electronic newsletter to internal and external audiences.

Test new site functionality in response to requests from team; action or coordinate correction of defects as appropriate.

Monitor Google Analytics for the Cambridge Mathematics website and generate from it both fortnightly and monthly reports as agreed.

Business planning support

Working with the Business Strategist and Digital Content Designer, explore, recommend, design and develop ideas for digital products arising from their work.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent (Essential)

Digital technology qualifications (Desirable)

Skills

Up-to-date knowledge of digital technologies, e.g. content management systems, social media, email marketing, basic HTML

Management of front end development of digital content

Understanding of the principles of web design and development

High IT literacy

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience

You will have hands-on experience of web design and development, including content management software

You will have experience with software packages e.g. Illustrator or equivalent

You will have worked with a team to meet project goals
