Provisioning Engineer (Voice)

Our client provides connectivity and infrastructure outsourcing solutions to communications, applications, content and cloud service providers globally. They have the network infrastructure, intelligence and expertise to deliver connectivity and communications services that support the success of their customers. They are now looking for a Provisioning Engineer to join their team. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a Voice networking professional with a range of in-depth skills and a grounding in electrical engineering or computer science to advance their career with a leading global technology solutions provider.

As a Provisioning Engineer, you will be tasked with providing Voice-related services to a range of customers. 

Specifically, you will manage Voice provisioning tickets, supporting other Provisioning Engineers and providing outstanding troubleshooting for global customers to cover requirements. 

You will aid Field Teams for the Voice service in testing and implementation activities and support the delivery of urgent or expediated services within the target date. 

Additionally, you will work with the Planning, Service Delivery, Presales/Solutions and Supplier teams and maintain effective communications internally. 

This role has an on-call requirement where you’ll be required to work one in three weekends and one in three weekday evenings from 6pm until midnight. 

Interested? If so, you will need: 

- At least five years’ experience with network architecture and technology planning for voice 

- Experience in Control Switch, Soft Switch, Media Gateways, SIP, MGCP/H.248, Voice Compression/Decompression, SIGTRAN (M2PA/M3UA), SS7 Signalling, Session Border Controllers (SBCs) and VPN/IPSEC 

- A Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in electrical engineering or computer science
