Head of Business Analysis

One of our top financial services clients is seeking a Head of Business Analysis to join their Midlands based team. You will be responsible for leading and developing the business analysis function of the business, which supports the change portfolio. Within this role it will be integral with ensuring the business has an effective end to end change capability.

You will be responsible for managing a direct budget of circa £2m, and contributing to the change portfolio budget of circa £25-30m. You will work alongside "heads of" and external stakeholders/suppliers.

Head of Business Analysis duties will include but not limited to:

*Setting standards and practices for the business analysis function that ensure the solution and requirement specifications are of a high quality and are sustainable and commercially viable business solutions

*Lead the overall business analyst function, with up to 60 BA's reporting in to the team

*Take ownership of the elaboration stage of the change life cycle

*Setting a framework for business analysis; ensuring good practice, and on-going quality management

*Work with the Business Architecture team to ensure the overall analysis approach is consistent

*Contribute to the solution definition of strategic projects

*Take an active lead in the recruitment and retention of members of the team

*Working with third party suppliers and partners to meet the requirements of the portfolio

*Actively coach senior members of the business analysis team

*Management of both budget and resources

As the Head of Business Analysis, you will be required to possess:

*5+ years experience working as a business analyst at a senior level

*Experience with implementing software development quality and improvement techniques (DSDM, Agile, Lean)

*Strong practical knowledge of agile business analysis and systems modelling techniques

*Excellent organisational and management of workload skills

*Strong coaching and teaching techniques, to drive team member's development

*Able to analyse and present technical and complex concepts in a simplified and structured manner

*Experience working within/knowledge of the financial services industry would be beneficial

*Holding a professional qualification, such as; BCS Diploma, CBAP would be desirable
