Role: Programme Manager - OTT

Base location: West London

Duration: 6 Months

The Programme and Strategy team lead the delivery of complex, group wide technology change that underpin the organization's strategy. Working with business stakeholders, shape the technology roadmap and coordinate the delivery of this across internal technology and external teams - from initial idea through to launch and handover.

Job Purpose

The Programme Manager will be accountable for the technology deliverables in support of the product roadmap. They will manage multiple delivery workstreams within Group technology, coordinating these activities with in-territory teams and wider product and propositional stakeholders, to maintain an overarching delivery plan and budget.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage the initiation of projects and programmes, working closely with architect and analyst teams, to co-ordinate input from business areas and drive the solution definition.

* Build and maintain appropriately detailed project and programme plans throughout the life-cycle of the delivery. Ensure change is appropriately controlled and risks & issues managed.

* Establish appropriate governance on deliveries, ensuring key stakeholders are kept regular updated on status and undertake timely decision making.

* Maintain and control budgets.

* Regular reporting of status, key milestones and risks & issues.

* Ensure all deliverables have been sufficiently tested and passed into operational support.

* Build the programme delivery team, identify workstreams and ensuring suitable project and delivery managers have been to deliveries. Regularly review status of deliverables to ensure accurate reporting and pro-active risk-management.

* Ensure effective communication both within and external to the project team, ensuring communications are effectively tailored and directed.

* Regular liaison with resource managers to ensure resources and roadmap slots are secured and maintained, including management of contention with other programmes and projects.

* Timely escalation of issues.

Required Experience

Qualifications

* Educated to degree level or equivalent.

* Relevant project or programme management qualification.

Specialist Knowledge

* Project Management and associated methods and tools, and in depth knowledge of project lifecycle.

* Broad business knowledge including commercial, financial and technical awareness

* Management of programmes or complex (multi-workstream) projects.

* Delivery of projects in an agile environment.

Industry Experience

* 5+ years' experience in a project or delivery role, including 3+ years' experience in media.

* Experience in delivery of OTT (Over-the-Top) software delivery.

* Experience of delivering projects through others and without direct control.

* Coordinating delivery between backend and frontend teams in an app environment.

* Experience working with international teams.

Technical Skills

* Excellent communication and relationship builder, including experience at conflict resolution.

* Pro-active and confident; comfortable dealing with uncertainty.

* Able to build a high level technical understanding of deliveries, and to converse with architects and technical analysts.

* Positive can-do attitude towards problem solving, able to motivate and direct project team.

* Demonstrable project management techniques.
