Role: Java Developer
Rate: £425 - £475 per day
Contract length: 6 months
When they want someone to start: ASAP (Will wait up to 4 weeks)
Hours: Every Friday from home and flexible working hours
Summary of the work
An exciting opportunity for an experienced Developer has come up with one of our clients in Sheffield. They are looking for an experienced Java developer to work on new systems for a very interesting and valuable project. You would be part of an Agile team working alongside other developers including another two Java developers, an Automation Tester and a front end JavaScript developer. You would need plenty of experience working as part of an Agile team and be able to come up with new ideas. Communication and teamwork is a key part of this role and interest/experience in design as well as developing code is necessary.
Essential skills and experience
* Demonstrated experience working with up to date Java stack including Java 8 & Spring Boot
* Experience working on large systems using micro-services architecture
* Demonstrated experience working in Agile teams
* Strong understanding of modern application architecture and design principles.
* Demonstrated experience building APIs
* Good communication skills and experience working in collaborative environments
* Experience working with JavaScript and Node JS
Desirables
* AWS experience
* True full stack development experience
This will be a 6-month initial contract with the potential to extend. I have a number of contractors working on this project and have all extended.
Interviews will take place on Thursday this week or Tuesday next week and you will be required to do a technical assessment prior to interview that you will then discuss on the face to face.
