An opportunity exists for a Graduate Vision Engineer to join a dynamic company operating in a high technology market.

The Graduate Vision Engineer Opportunity:

We are looking to recruit a keen and enthusiastic Graduate Vision Engineer who can work effectively as part of an experienced engineering team to learn, design, document, integrate, commission and support machine vision applications across a range of industries. The candidate should have a desire to take a programming/software skillset into an engineering environment where there is an opportunity to develop software engineering skills in a high technology engineering environment.

Core Roles:

+ Learn and become experienced with our machine vision graphical user interface (GUI) software packages

+ Learn and become experienced with our machine vision technology, such as cameras, optics, lighting, filters and image processing methods

+ Design machine vision applications with our machine vision software and hardware

+ Document specifications and test studies for the design of machine vision applications

+ Integrate and commission machine vision applications into our machines and systems

+ Support in the review of machine vision programs and image processing functions to increase software quality of solutions currently deployed

+ Create machine vision solutions using our in-house equipment for use in customer demonstrations, evaluations and proposals

About You:

+ Educated to degree level in Engineering or related fields (2.1 or above).

+ Knowledge of software programming languages.

+ A logical approach to problem solving.

+ Excellent interpersonal skills - both written and verbal.

+ Well organised, ability to work to deadlines and a high attention to detail.

+ Ability to prioritise a heavy workload.

+ Ability and willingness to work as part of a team.

Bonus Skills:

+ Knowledge of machine vision/image processing.

+ Knowledge of robotics/control systems/industrial automation.

+ Clean and full UK driving licence.

Flexible Working:

There is some requirement for flexible working hours and weekend work (overtime paid for weekend work) as required.

Travel:

Our systems are integrated, commissioned and supported across the globe. There is good opportunity to travel within the UK, Europe and beyond as part of our engineering team. Recent work has been completed in the USA, Central America, Thailand, Hungary and France.

Machine Vision Applications Engineer, Graduate Software Engineer, AI Software Programmer, Machine Visions Software Engineer, Graduate Software Programmer, Graduate AI Engineer, Automation Programmer, Control Systems Engineer.
