The Role
We are looking for someone to join our RF, Cyber and Power Source Facilities team. As a Facility Manager you will support the Team Leader through being responsible for the efficient, safe, secure and legal operations within the labs in your charge. You will work closely with the lab users, IDTs and business to understand the daily and future requirements for each lab and work with the TL to create effective plans to meet these requirements.
Key Accountabilities
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining a safe working environment within the labs ensuring a high performance from all labs including efficient delivery, high quality, applying appropriate cost control whilst meeting security, governance and business requirements.
It will be your responsibility to ensure all H&S aspects are kept up to date, presenting H&S and security briefs and reporting on any breeches accordingly.
Your facilities portfolio of world class facilities will be ever changing to meet customer requirements and aid in the support of leading edge research and technology
You will ensure all equipment is PAT tested within time constraints, effective management and control of hazardous substances and perform other local audits
Also you are required to maintain Security Accreditation Documentation such as updating the Security Furniture, RMADS and SyOps
Behavioural Requirements
To succeed in this role you will have excellent knowledge of Health and Safety, Governance and Security
You will be self-motivated, organised and methodical and achieve results with minimal supervision, demonstrating the ability to work to tight timescales and think outside the box to resolve and problems
Through excellent communication skills and being an open and honest team member, you will develop strong relationships across all levels of the business
Essential Qualifications
* BTEC Level 4 or above, BTEC Diploma, HNC, Foundation Degree in Electronic Engineering or related discipline
* Engineering Technician or Incorporated Engineer qualifications are desirable but not essential for the role
* A recognised Apprenticeship or Advanced (Higher) Apprenticeship in Electronic Engineering at NVQ Level 4
* Experience in dealing with electronic test equipment including, set up, use/operation and periodic calibration of: Multi-metres, oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, power suppliers, RF switches, power metres, logic analysers, network analysers etc.
* IOSH or similar qualifications would be advantageous
