Role: Database Administrator

Location: Telford

Contract Duration: 6 Months

Start Date: ASAP

We are looking for an experienced multiskilled database

administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the

performance, availability, and security of instances. You will

also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and

provisioning of database instances. You will also work in

tandem with the other teams, preparing documentations and

specifications as required.

Working in a team environment providing an Oracle/SQL

Server/Mysql/PostgeSQL DBA (Data base administrator)

function supporting both Project and Live Service teams.

Design, configure and support database applications

Work with Architects to translate high level vision into low level technical detail

deliver subject matter expertise in one of the estates key technologies

Provide support to Projects on how their database applications should be set up

Provide live support to systems during core business hours

Essential Skills

Strong knowledge of Unix and Oracle or SQL Server

Excellent knowledge of an IT infrastructure and the IT lifecycle

Ms applications

Oracle Grid Control

RAC, RMAN

MySQL

PostgreSQL

MongoDB
