Senior Cloud Engineer - AWS - Edinburgh - up to £65,000 + up to 25% bonus

Senior Cloud Engineer - Cloud Operations (Python, Ruby, etc.)

The Development Operations and Infrastructure Services team is responsible for managing the cloud infrastructure which can support the next generation of consumer driven financial based products. This team is responsible for the design and implementation of a wide range of platform services such as centralized logging, monitoring, and configuration management, as well as the management of our Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

Some of the Responsibilities could be . . .

* Implement & build automation tools such as Jenkins, Puppet, and Python scripting for streamlined deployments & systems updates.

* Creating monitoring capabilities & alerting for Technical Operations Center (TOC) team members.

* Design & deploy cloud platform capabilities using AWS (full stack - network, load balancing, DNS, security, databases).

* Implement infrastructure capabilities in an automated cloud world - such as backups, security tools, IAM, monitoring, etc.

* Perform advanced technical troubleshooting for cloud & e-commerce environments.

* Engineer automation tools and the continuous delivery process.

* Work extensively with continuous integration systems and are able to translate that understanding into workable pipelines and tools.

* Implement and support a multi-cloud/hybrid solutions for disaster recovery.

* Enhance system performance and features on a regular basis for enhanced customer experience.

* Lead technical operations projects from requirements to design to implementation to operations.

* Strong experience with Linux (Redhat/CentOS, Amazon, Ubuntu)

* Respectable knowledge and proven hands on experience managing Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure

* Familiarity with more than one of Bash, Ruby, Python, JavaScript, Java

* Good knowledge of Architecture and the tool chains to successfully deploy and manage cloud solutions to scale.

* Experience with Network engineering and management
