We have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and reliable Front-End Developer/Designer to join a vibrant development team and work with existing designers, web developers and application developers creating a range of static, CMS-based sites and transactional web applications.

The role would be highly individualised and allow growth and exposure in multiple disciplines and the successful candidate would be tasked with work on a range of websites for a diverse group of companies.

Skills and knowledge

                     Experience of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Fireworks, and Illustrator or similar.

                     Any knowledge of CMS including Umbraco, Kentico or WordPress would be of value.

                     Ability to create web page templates using W3C standards

                     Front end development experience including HTML5, CSS3 and possibly JQuery/JavaScript.

                     Practical understanding of UX best practices and user behaviour would be highly advantageous.

                     Awareness of design considerations with digital media and ability to produce web page, email and mobile designs would be essential.

                     Effective knowledge and experience with SEO optimisation would be beneficial.

                     Knowledge of responsive frameworks such as Bootstrap and experience with CSS pre-processors such as LESS or SASS would be advantageous.

                     Any exposure to server-side development including PHP, C#, Asp.Net MVC and SQL Server or MySQL would be highly advantageous but not essential.

Successful candidates would also obtain exposure to website development and hosting and management and SEO practices.
