The Energy Institute is looking to appoint a talented and creative Front-End Developer who is keen to learn and progress within a digital focused role.

Reporting to the Head of Digital Development

1 year contract, renewable

Salary up to £27,000pa plus benefits

Benefits including central London location and compressed working scheme (extended daily hours in return for every other Friday off)

The Energy Institute (EI) is the chartered professional membership body bringing global energy expertise together. Our ambition is that energy, and its critical role in our world, is better understood, managed and valued.

We have ambitious plans for the growth of our digital channels both in the UK and internationally. A key focus is the development and design of attractive, engaging, responsive and meaningful digital content and functionality.

The EI is looking to appoint a Front-End Developer who is keen to learn and progress within a digital focused role. As part of the Digital Development Team, the ideal candidate for this role will have experience of developing user-focused online products and services, experience in developing functionality using a content management system (Squiz Matrix or similar), ability to programme within a variety of languages (JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5), knowledge of APIs and an aptitude for good user-centric design.

Experience working with web analytics (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) is essential as the role extends across analysing detailed user behaviour to optimise traffic acquisition and optimise user experience across website and mobile platforms.

The role will work closely with communication and marketing colleagues across the EI.
