£38000-£40'000- Pension + Private medical insurance + 28 days holidays

Excellent opportunity for a senior engineer from an automotive background to join an expanding company that will offer you autonomy and a role where you can stamp your mark on the design and development department.

The main purpose of this role is to design interior assemblies with a focus on the interior and develop them into series production in cooperation with their customers and internal departments.

The ideal candidate will be degree qualified, come from an automotive background and have strong CATIA experience.

This is a great role for a Design & development manager to join a company where you will play a key role in this companies growth and development.

The role:

* Development responsibility of the trim assembly.

* Module responsibility with regular customer contact, planning and management tasks

* Development of concepts according to the specifications or co-designing the specifications sheet.

*Coordinating with the development department of customers during the acquisition and development phase. Conducting product presentations during the quotation phase at the customer and possibly during the project period in coordination with the sales department and, if applicable, the development project manager

* Oversee the development and production of finish patterns in line with customer Design, ensuring all milestones for mastering are achieved.

The person:

*Understands the automotive market place.

*Engineering degree.

*Leadership experience.

*Strong Catia knowledge/ experience.
