Senior Java Developer - Birmingham, United Kingdom - Salary up to £75,000

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Java Software Engineer you will need to understand, design, and develop software from functional and non-functional specifications. You will be following agreed development processes and produce software and unit tests in line with project and applicable domain standards.

You'll need to have commercial Java development experience ideally with experience of modern source code management approaches and software development using open source technologies. A key element for this role, being in an agile environment working closely with clients. Your communication skills need to be technically sound but also be able to convey your knowledge and expertise to clients internally and externally.

Essential skills:

* Java 7/8

* Spring and Hibernate

* SQL

Desirable:

* Experience of SOA, middleware and microservices

* Experience of application servers and/or serverless technologies

* Be part of something exciting. Experience of Big Data analytics and infrastructure
