Spring Technology is currently recruiting on behalf of one of our leading public sector clients.

Based in Milton Keynes the client is looking for a Service Designer on an initial 6 month contract. The candidate for this role must hold SC clearance or be eligible to go through SC clearance, meaning they MUST hold a British passport.

The role:

* Ensure that service design standards and templates are available for project and design functions

* Ensure that service designs are delivered for new services and are successfully integrated into existing service grouping.

* Work with the commercial team to develop service component costs to enhance the current bid and commercial processes

* Design and build a catalogue of services that outlines the offerings provided by SGS

* Ensure that the service design and transition elements of the service management framework are designed to agreed standards and deliver value

* Engage with regional and UK teams to ensure that service design processes are fit for purpose and easy to manage

* Establish a set of internal metrics to measure the effectiveness, compliance and buy-in to new processes across SGS.

* Work with the Service Assurance Manager to ensure that appropriate level of risk assessment is completed for new and changed services with particular focus on capacity and commercial capability.

Skills & Experience Needed:

* Service Architect / Designer experience

* Production of Low/High Level Service Designs

* Service Cost modelling

* Service Catalogue creation

* SLA/OLA's

* Technical (IT) experience

* A thorough and demonstrable understanding of IT Processes (ITIL)

* Service Management Experience

* Strong evidence based ability to deliver results

* A high level of practical problem solving skills to overcome barriers and resistance to change.

* Understanding of corporate drivers such as the strategy, values and core behaviours.

* Financial management experience

* Ability to lead a workshop

* Bid Management

Desirable

* An understanding or experience of overseas delivery

* Central Government experience

* Experience and knowledge of ITIL best practice to Expert level
