Head of IT - London - Contract

My Client, a luxury retailer are seeking a dynamic Head of IT to join their IT team. The role ensures that the IT infrastructure enables all business operations to run smoothly within the company globally driving company sales and performance. The Head of IT will review the current IT set-up and will make strategic recommendations to develop an intuitive, flexible integrated technology platform. A key part of the role involves the integration of the digital platforms into the current IT structure to create an intelligent, coherent IT business system.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* review current platforms and department objectives and make commercial recommendations to meet the overall objectives of the Business Plan

* manage the structure of the IT Department & lead a team of 5 employees alongside 3rd party/freelance partners through an extensive period of change, internally and externally

* ensure needs of the business are met including Digital Strategy, NAV system maintenance and enhancement and the establishment of an effective Business Information department

* integrate digital platforms into current IT system aligned with international digital strategy

* implement strategies to change and improve day to day internal system operations

* create new internal performance measures to meet and exceed agreed targets.

* help to find and deliver incredible customer experience and opportunities around the world

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

* significant tech/digital experience in a world class institution focussed around customer engagement and experience

* ideally knowledge of or user of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, MS SQL Server, Java script, XML Web services

* proven experience of the retail environment and processes within

* proven experience in managing large projects

* familiarity with effective user experience models and practices

* strategic thinker, creative and problem-solver

* thought leader with brilliant communication skills

Immediate start

Lentgh: 6 months

Rate: up to £550
