Database Administrator / DBA (nosql cassandra linux). Global financial software house with in excess of 2,000 institutional clients is seeking a bright, ambitious Database Administrator / DBA with NoSQL experience (Apache Cassandra preferred).

Daily activities will include monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks and proposing ways to optimise performance; managing data backup and restores required for disaster recovery and working within the release management framework to deploy schema changes. You'll install new servers and upgrade existing servers with regards to patches and new releases, providing high levels of availability for the Production and UAT systems. You will partner with the development team to advise and assist with the enhancement of the current database.

Requirements:

*Strong Database Administration experience

*Strong NoSQL keyspace experience, preferably Apache Cassandra (v3+)

*Strong Linux OS, ideally Redhat (v7.3+)

*Experience analysing database performance and query optimization.

*Excellent written and verbal communication skills
