Data Strategist

We are seeking an Analytics and Data Strategist to be a partner within the Next Generation Recruitment (NGR) project. As the data lead, you will be required to deliver a tactical and strategic solution with multiple vendors and stakeholders. Your aim is to design a full reporting ecosystem to enable full talent advisor tracking and hiring manager, report and analytics. You will define and maintain best practice guidelines and standards for information and data architecture.

Your core responsibilities will include:

* Design the overall analytics strategy - with aid of the Analytics Manager

* Understanding all reporting measures from multiple vendors to give value adding metrics

* Accountability for the design and evolution of our data architecture

* Source, integrate and model our data strategy, whilst upholding data integrity and GDPR regulations

* Create an infrastructure to generate reports and interactive dashboards

* Deliver analytics to generate knowledgeable and value adding insights

* Partner with the core NGR team, internal, external partners and senior leadership

About you:

* Strong background in developing Data and Information Architecture with large and complex organisations

* Experience data warehouse and multi-dimensional database design and development using formal methodologies

* Knowledge of core information architecture capabilities for structured and unstructured data, including master and reference data management, data quality, metadata management, data taxonomy, data integration, data migration, and data modelling

* Experience of data governance and compliance

* Translates business requirements into long-term information/data architecture solutions.

* Regularly collaborate with the core project team, HR analytics team and project managers on a wide range of technology projects, including software development, package implementations, and infrastructure upgrades/changes.

* You will be required to work with speed and agility; and have the ability to articulate your findings in a logical, jargon free manner. Your ability to tell a good story will be of high importance.

Desirable technical skills and qualifications:

* A 2:1 or above from a recognised university in a quantitative subject such as mathematics, operational research, statistics or engineering

* Good working knowledge of at least one statistical programming language such as R, Python or Matlab.

* Experience with Excel-VBA and SQL.

* Experience in a similar capacity would be advantageous to your application although no prior HR experience is needed. Success will be defined through application of your analytical techniques to this new and exciting area.
