Role Description:

Develop, support and maintain Oracle E-Business technical projects according to appropriate specifications. Responsible for converting functional specifications into technical specifications as part of the project builds.

Background:

The candidate will be an experienced Oracle Apps Developer working as part of the Extensions Team, reporting to the Service Delivery Managers.

Main Responsibilities:

The team carry out a wide range of daily, weekly and monthly tasks, including:

* Development and support the Oracle customisations and extensions to the JPA system.

* Investigate problems and carry out analysis and design of customer requirements.

* Code, unit test and document changes ensuring they adhere to DXC standards.

* Support the Testing Team by investigating and resolving defects.

* Manage the deployment of fixes and changes into the test and Live environments.

* Carry out quality checks through the established peer review process.

* Train and mentor more junior members of the team.

Essential Skills:

* At least 7+ years' experience in Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 using OA Framework (OAF) and Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF)

* Sound SQL and PL/SQL programming skills

* Experience with Oracle Forms and Reports

* Extensive Oracle development lifecycle experience including testing

* Experience in converting functional specifications into technical specifications as part of project builds

Desirable Skills:

* Knowledge of HR, Payroll, Finance and CRM

* Experience of AIX and Oracle Linux

* Experience of IBM Optima

* Experience of source/document control systems

* Team player, delivery focussed with strong problem-solving skills

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal

* Proactive, self-motivated and a self-starter

* Good time management with the ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
