An exciting opportunity within busy, high-volume and friendly National Workforce Skills Development Unit awaits the right candidate. The Unit supports and facilitates the development of mental health and learning disabilities workforce while supporting the mental health and wellbeing of health and care workforce. In doing so, the Unit specifies, manages, and is accountable for national projects with a national focus on strategic workforce issues throughout the NHS in support of the NHS part of its Five Year Forward View.

Reporting to the Programme Operations Manager, you will be responsible for managing and administering a full range of project services and logistics to support delivery of projects on time and to the budget. This will include organising, compiling, and maintaining information and project documentation and planning and implementing information to ensure compliance with projects briefs. You will help to minimise cost and implementation risks, liaising with the team and diverse groups of stakeholders to ensure effective communication and governance.

A proven track record of delivering multiple projects and managing large disparate groups of internal and external stakeholders is essential. Knowledge of NHS and social care would be helpful. You will need to be able to work in a collaborative fashion and respond to different perspectives while taking a cross-organisational perspective.
