Java Developer / Technical Lead (Java Data Scala Spark Cassandra Redshift Druid Redis Postgres). Global media technology software house that produce a high-performance, data-intensive backend software that allows the advertising sector to intelligently target ads, is seeking a skilled Java Developer with strong experience of working with data centric systems to lead a talented team.
As a Java Developer / Technical Lead you will be responsible for the evolution of the data platform, developing the architecture and maintaining the data platform backlog. The systems generate vast amounts data, approximately 350GB per hour, distributed over many servers. You'll be solving complex technical challenges and finding new ways to use the data to improve the product and deliver more value.
You will be working in a technology driven environment with a motivated team of software professionals. Offices based in Central London with a friendly environment.
Requirements:
*Strong Java and / or Scala development skills
*Advanced knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms
*Experience of handling large data sets, ideally Apache Spark
*Experience with relational database architecture (SQL) and at least one non relational data store (Redshift, Cassandra ideally)
*Good knowledge of serverside Linux
*Ability to technically lead a small, focussed team
*Confident communicator with great interpersonal skills
