Role: 24/7 Shift Leader

Location: Manchester

Contract Duration:

Clearance: BPSS

Shift pattern/hours: TBC

Required Skill:

* Working in a Command Centre undertaking monitoring and event management, applying structured problem management and troubleshooting of events across infrastructure and applications.

* Understanding of IT Service Management principles, interfacing with Incident, Problem and Change functions.

* Experience of enterprise monitoring and service management tooling. (not looking for specific tools just having used common ones i.e. transferrable skills

* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

* Work in a shift pattern

* Management of a small technical team: workload and resource management, performance and capability management, career development

Project description:

* Detecting notifications and conducting monitoring checks across our infrastructure and networks to ensure that systems are running correctly, applying technical knowledge to understand e2e impacts, escalating any issues to resolution.

* Prioritising incoming messages for the Operations analyst team, ensuring correct information flow, record keeping and data capture.

* Providing capability to Projects in the delivery of new solutions.

* Overseeing and supporting the performance and development of capability in junior team members
