In this role, you will take responsibility for every aspect of our clients networking/ infrastructure; providing operational support also for data communications and IP telephony systems. You will be a key member of the team, as you will pro-actively monitor the Network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime; whilst also conducting troubleshooting analysis, Root Cause analysis, isolation tasks and ensuring the resolution of events and incidents.

Using your knowledge of Cisco systems; you will also be required to configure CISCO ASA firewalls, routers and switches, and Cisco Fire Power IDS/IPS. You will also get the opportunity to upgrade these systems.

The responsibility of this role expands also to the technical documentation of internal systems and protection of the company from cyber security threats.

Requirements:

-Past networking engineering experience

-CCNA or CCNP Level certification

-Commercial experience in the installation, configuration and support of CISCO equipment; with an advanced knowledge of CISCO network security and CISCO Fire Power IDS/IPS

-Experience of implementing/maintaining Network Monitoring tools (PRTG desirable)

-Excellent communication ability

-Ability to diagnose issues and correct them in an efficient manner

-The ability to learn new technical skills

-To be able to travel occasionally to different branches and suppliers in the UK
