Solution Architect

This organisation are going through a significant IT change and transformation period, implementing new systems, technologies and process to provide their customers with the best products and experiences.

A Solution Architect is now required to provide technical governance to projects , manage project architecture, work with IT security teams to understand risks and reduce exposure. The main objective within this position is to simplify this particular area of the business’ IT landscape, reducing the total cost of ownership and deliver business values.

Responsibilities and skills required:

The majority of their customer facing web applications are built on Mid-tier Java platforms (JEE, WebSphere Application Server), experience in environments similar to this will be beneficial when starting in this role.

Ideally, experience solutioning application architecture with multiple platforms and data sources (Mainframe, mid-range, SOA, ESB technologies).

Experience with ECM products.

Experience working in a technology environment with multiple database technologies (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).

Solid understanding of IT security and standards (OWASP)
