My client an Energy Trading Company based in Sunbury requires a Workday Reporting Specialist
My Client is part way through a programme of HR Modernisation and the role of technology is central to our journey. We are modernising our function to adapt to changes in the workforce and workplace and to ensure we are positioned to add maximum value to moving forward.
As part of HR Modernisation, The company has started a 2-year programme of work known as the "Workday Services Programme (WSP)" with the aim to:
Establish HR Service Delivery Centres in key locations and transform the service delivery model from the current decentralised, fragmented approach to a simplified, standardised and consistent model
Implement Workday globally and replace the legacy SAP HR solution
Streamline and align all HR processes, leveraging both the organisational (Delivery Centres) and technology (Workday) opportunities; the process scope includes "core" HR transaction i.e. organisation and employee lifecycle management, and excludes talent and learning processes
Leverage the existing, global "one stop shop" HR portal known as My HR and continue to leverage its integration capability across the HR application landscape
Select and deploy the technologies required to support the service interaction between staff and the HR Delivery Centres
Integrate Workday with multiple global systems including the SaaS solutions supporting the Talent and Learning domains and the service interaction technologies
Employee experience and adoption of the technologies and processes are critical success factors for the programme and will guide the design of the HR processes and Workday solution.
Role Overview
The HR Workday Reporting Specialist is part of the Analytics & Reporting work stream of the WSP programme. Reporting to the Project Manager, this position is responsible to build & deliver a portion of the Workday reports based on the requirements gathered during the design phase of the programme. The Reporting Specialist will incorporate the analyses and the Legal, Functional and Regulatory (LFR) requirements gathered from the countries and help design & plan the delivery of all the Workday reports & dashboards in line with the agreed plan. This role is also heavily involved in the testing of the Workday.
While this is a hands-on role creating and developing reports and dashboards, it does require an analytical mind to ensure that the needs of the business are met with the proposed design and delivery of the reporting solution.
Specific Accountabilities
Review & analyse the gathered requirements related to HR reporting within the scope of the Workday solution
Participate in the review and solutioning of LFRs and provide Workday reporting expertise to ensure that Workday’s real time reporting and analytics capability is fully leveraged
Play a key role in planning and prioritizing the report design to ensure a rationalized and smooth production approach is taken to the production of the reports and dashboards
Develop and build workday reports per the LFR and other reporting requirements
Ensure that the workday reports and dashboards are in line with the agreed project plan and are executed accordingly
Raise any risks and issues to the project manager, that are necessary and that would impact the successful production of the workday reports and dashboards
Closely work with the with the data workstream to understand and ensure that the data fields being brought through are aligned to report design such that when the reports are deployed, they meet the reporting and LFR requirements
Work with the team to develop and create a testing plan for all the reports and dashboards
Test all created & delivered reports and dashboards throughout the plan life cycle and align to time commitments
Follow PMO processes and produce required artefacts to support the project manager
Skills and Experiences
Essential knowledge, experience & expertise:
3-5 years HRIS or Advanced Reporting experience; with progressive experience in Workday configuration, implementation or operation
Reporting / MI delivery experience
WD Reporting functionality (creating, building & modifying, maintaining reports), configuration skills and systems troubleshooting
In depth knowledge of the Workday business object model and building/maintaining calculated fields
Experienced with Workday domain security and able to troubleshoot/enable/control report access for select populations
Advanced Excel experience
Experience in working with the MS Power BI reporting technology is desirable
Functional knowledge of the Workday system and/or basic knowledge of Workday Business Processes, Organizations, EIB, Calculated fields, XML and XSLT are strongly desired skills
