I am currently looking for an IT Test Manager. This is a Brand New Permanent opportunity based in Coventry working for an award-winning financial organisation.

What is my client looking for?

To engage projects in end to end testing, provide a single point on contact for all functional and non-functional testing on projects, provide testing governance for all functional and non-functional test phases throughout the lifecycle of a project, provide guidance to managers to ensure testing is managed and documented, and provide the project community with clear and agreed overall project test strategy.

The IT Test Manager takes a holistic view of end to end testing services and so provides a strategic direction for testing services across multiple projects and programmes and then leads a team in the disciplines of software testing. Manages the testing process and people management practices to ensure they are delivering to the agreed testing services vision. Provides day to day management & guidance, for an IT System test team. Ensures the agreed policies, processes and standards for the team are monitored and reports compliance with internal standards. Provides out of hours support as required to meet operational IT needs.

Essential skills and experience:

* A proven testing background with experience in both business and technical environments and team leading / end to end test management experience.

o Functional Testing

o Non Functional Non-Functional (performance, automation)

o Integration Testing

o Security Testing

o UAT

* Excellent grasp of testing strategies and approaches to minimising risk and assuring quality in key systems following the introduction of new modules, changes, bug fixes or upgrades.

* In depth appreciation of testing standards and approaches and alignment with Industry best practices.

* Experience in both automated and manual testing techniques

* Strong technical awareness and knowledge of latest testing methodologies and tools

* ISEB qualifications up to the Practitioner Certificate level in Software Testing desirable.

* Experience of delivering high quality reporting

* Strong stakeholder management skills

* Financial domain knowledge desirable but not essential

* Working with third party service providers
