Network Support Specialist / Consultant (Engineer)

£35,000 - £38,000 + Company Benefits + Excellent Professional Development

Are you a network specialist looking to be part of a highly skilled team working on high end network systems for high security industries?

This is an excellent opportunity to take a varied role in a company that are creating lots of opportunities for their staff, whether it's stepping into a supervisory role or furthering your technical skills.

The company have been established for almost 30 years and provide full bespoke network solutions to a range of high end clients. You will become an expert in finding tailored solutions as you become more technically able with the support of the team.

This would suit someone with excellent knowledge of networking, looking to broaden their skillset and find real variety in their work.

The Role:

-Provide phone and email consultation to clients, occasionally hands on

-Improve your skills in Layer 2 - Layer 4 based Ethernet/IP technologies, PDH, SDH, Cellular technology 2G, 3G & 4G, IoT, Wi-Fi access points & mesh technologies, DWDM, GPON, SNMP management systems, server and PC operating systems

-1 in 4 weeks provide out of hours on call support (rarely called upon)

The Person:

-Experienced in providing networking support

-SNMP based network management in Windows or Linux

-Hands on network maintenance skills

-Layer 2 - Layer 4 based Ethernet technologies including MPLS & MPLS-TP
