WHAT TO EXPECT

As Functional Consultant you'll work within the framework of the SAP programmes strategy, road map, and the defined Human Capital Management work plan. You'll provide business process enablement advice and knowledge, focused on the key Human Capital Management process chain and the primary integration points.

You'll work with various business functions to understand their operational requirements and optimisation opportunities. In the role, you'll ensure requests for change are managed in line with the defined Jaguar Land Rover SAP programmes change request (CR) processes. In addition to this you'll complete requirement-gathering activities with business partners.

As the conduit between business stakeholders and the Build team, you'll ensure requirements are properly understood, captured, and reflected back into functional requirement documents, design specification documents, UAT scripts, test scripts, and other supporting artefacts. You'll also participate in Testing and UAT activities (end-to-end process focus) and support changes in process documentation.

Ensuring knowledge transfer activities are completed by the Build team, you'll support communities (both business and technical) in readiness for the CR deployment. As part of this you'll support the handover activities of requests for change-to-project and programme delivery (PPD), ensuring that business unit requirements are properly captured and understood by the PPD team.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

You'll need previous experience working on project lifecycles in a functional consultant capacity on a major SAP project or programme. In addition to this you'll also possess the ability to conceptualise and communicate complex topics to senior stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

You'll need a good understanding of process and the application of the HR end-to-end processes, particularly of how the applications integrate and manage data. Ideally, you'll have knowledge of Success Factors on-boarding, recruitment, talent management, and compensation management. A good understanding of SAP Human Capital Management will be advantageous, as will knowledge of processes and core business challenges in the automotive sector.

Finally, you'll have the ability to work on your own initiative and under tight time pressures - planning, prioritising and controlling both your own and the team's workload - as well as being able to build relationships based on trust and credibility with Jaguar Land Rover senior management and partner organisations.
