Design Engineer

Cirencester, Gloucestershire

£40,000 - £45,000 + Training + 33 Days Holiday + Pension

Excellent opportunity for a Design Engineer to join a long established business in an interesting and autonomous role where you will lead projects from concept through to manufacture.

This company operate on a global scale and have been trading for almost a century. They specialise in the design, manufacture and sale of a range of products that have applications in multiple sectors. Due to continued success they are looking for a Design Engineer to join their team.

In this role you will create 2D and 3D designs to meet a customer's specific requirements, create a bill of materials. You will liaise with numerous departments and be involved with application engineering, new product developments and through to the manufacturing department.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with either Solidworks or inventor at creating 2D & 3D drawings. Have previous experience using MRP and PDM systems, a good all round knowledge of mechanical principles.

The Role:

*Creating 2D & 3D drawings using Inventor or Solidworks

*Producing bill of materials and costings of new designs

*Support delivery of products from design to manufacture

*Dealing with Customer requirements

The Person:

*HNC/HNC or Degree in mechanical engineering

*Proficient with either Inventor or Solidworks
