Job Description

CDSM is a leading digital learning agency that produces award-winning, bespoke e-learning content and e-learning platform solutions for national and international clients. Our solutions are built with contemporary technologies using highly-organised production techniques, delivering outstanding online learning experiences for our customers.

Our current customer base includes two national governments, a leading US education institute and a number of the UK’s leading training providers. We have also worked on digital learning solutions for brands such as Anglian, BMW, Boots, Honda, and Mitsubishi (amongst many others).

We’re looking for a talented software developer to join our growing team in Swansea, building web and mobile applications. It’s important that applicants are not only experienced, but also highly motivated and able to work as part of a team, liaising with:

- Product development (UI and UX)

- Developers

- QA

- Operational managers

- Project managers

- Support and operations

The successful applicant will:

- Play a key role in defining CDSM's products and services

- Represent the strategic objectives of the business in their day-to-day work within the development team

- Be a strong communicator and leader who is able to make measured judgments in a high-pressure environment

- Gather requirements from multiple sources, analysing and presenting them to management as well as representing and executing them with the development team

- Work under pressure and meet critical deadlines for the business

- Be driven in guiding a product from inception through to final delivery

- Scope and manage work packages for third-party providers and offshore developers

- Be able to operate in a DevOps environment where a team is fully responsible the whole application lifecycle - from design to development to delivery to maintenance

Applicants should be technology enthusiasts, with a strong desire to keep up with the latest trends and releases. They should be experienced in at least one of the following technologies:

- JavaScript/CoffeeScript

- ASP .NET/C#/MVC

They should also be conversant in most, if not all, of the following technologies/ methodologies:

- Unit testing/mocking

- Agile

- SQL server

- MongoDB

- Node JS

- Windows & Linux server management

- Elastic Search

- Git

Familiarity with any of the following technologies will be useful:
