This is an opportunity to join an established manufacturer and distributor of luxury bathrooms based in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire. A family run group of businesses established for over thirty years trading both in the UK and expanding Worldwide.

They are seeking an IT Support and Development Technician to work as a key member of the IT team supporting the IT infrastructure to ensure that their systems are running smoothly and efficiently.

This role will incorporate assisting with the in-house web-based software to optimise its performance across the group.

This is a multifaceted role and is a great opportunity for someone who has experience in support who would also like to cultivate their IT development skills. Along with providing support you will be maintaining the company's infrastructure, support call logging, assisting with development of in-house software using PHP/jQuery and MSSQL, dealing with IT security and compliance, building and maintaining company asset databases, documenting and understanding IP infrastructures (company mapping), responsibility for IT hardware including stock management, supporting and maintaining the company's network including & MPLS based WAN network.

The role is not limited to the above and you will Input positively into the company's plans and ideas for future IT requirements to drive the department and the business forward.

Ideally you will have experience in the following, Microsoft Server 2008/2012/2016, Microsoft Windows 7/8/10, Mac Support, Microsoft Office 2010/2013/2016, Active Directory, Exchange 2013, Hyper V virtualisation, Terminal services, WAN/VPLS Networks Knowledge / TCPIP Networking, Sophos UTM Firewall / Other firewall technology, Mobile platforms (iOS & Android), Avaya Telephone Platforms or other telephone system experience, Understanding of SIP & VOIP, Experience of Kerridge K8 or other ERP/MRP system PHP/jQuery/Java Script experience, MSSQL and integration with web-based applications. A good understanding of data communications equipment (i.e. routers, switches, hubs etc.) Infrastructure Cabling is also required.

This role will require an element of travel to our other group offices so you will have a full, clean driving licence. You will be willing to go the extra mile and have excellent customer service skills. Flexibility and strong work ethic are important as well as not being afraid to challenge current practices and research improved methodology.
