3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer - Windows, Infrastructure, 3rd Line Support

We have an opportunity for a 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer to join Experis on a permanent basis. You will be working as part of our Employed Consultant team, on site with a multi-national technology company based in Sheffield. Role Purpose:

The 3rd line Engineer will primarily be involved in the design and delivery of IT infrastructure services and implementation of other systems across the clients business.

Key Responsibilities:

* To maintain and modify IT infrastructure services in order to ensure they remain reliable and fit for purpose.

* In line with programme requirements and to support the wider network team:

* To react to incidents and service requests that are assigned through Incident Management.

* To provide third level triage of incidents in order to diagnose the cause of the incident

* To resolve incidents in line with agreed targets and timeframes

* To escalate incidents to third parties or internal specialists when appropriate

* To perform service requests to agreed and documented standards

* To assist the Service Desk and Service Support Teams with all aspects of service transition, change management and release management in connection with the development and introduction of new services and transition from projects

* To liaise with end-users in order to establish requirements and to design new systems and services in line with the clients strategic objectives.

* To liaise with third party suppliers in order to establish the technical and operation requirements of new systems and services.

Required Skills and Experience:

* Considerable practical experience of working in an IT development environment specialising in system development but with experience of desktop, and network technologies, some of which should be working in a large organisation

* Experience of Windows desktop/server installation and configuration

* Experience of resilient storage technologies

* Experience of collaborative and team working practices
